Ruby Beach

written by Amanda September 20, 2012

Sea stacks on Ruby Beach

Yesterday we drove about 2.5 hours south from Rialto Beach to Ocean Shores, WA. On the way we made a brief stop at Ruby beach for some lunch and a walk down the shore. Ruby beach is somewhat similar to Rialto with huge driftwood logs lining the beach and towering sea stacks jutting out of the water.

Beach time

Although the sun was shinning elsewhere, a dense fog hugged the coast making for a very grey visit. That didn’t stop us, or anyone else for that matter. The parking lot was nearly full and the beach busy with visitors snapping pictures of the sand and surf.

We’re staying at the Quinault Marina and RV Park in Ocean Shores for the next 3 or 4 days. No pictures yet except this one I snapped through our front window when we arrived yesterday afternoon. You have to kind of look around the dirty smudges, but that’s the ocean you see out there.
